The finished contract, however, comes in the language you choose: under Italian law the binding text is in Italian, optionally with a German or English reading version side by side; under German law it is in German, optionally with an English reading version. How it works

Four steps to signature

Configure together

Choose your situation: private or dealer, seller or buyer. Motorio then only shows clauses that are permitted in that case. Then enter the vehicle details and both parties.

Choose a variant per clause

The key clauses come in up to three variants: buyer-friendly, neutral or seller-friendly, each explained in one sentence. You decide together what suits your sale.

Pay once

Only the person who creates the contract pays. The other party pays nothing and needs no account: they receive an email with their personal link.

Both sign electronically

Both parties sign electronically via d.velop sign, on a phone or computer. Contract, handover record and documents are kept in a shared contract file.

Governing law

German, Austrian or Italian law

The used car purchase contract can be concluded under German, Austrian or Italian law, with its own text for each legal system.

Italian law: The binding text is in Italian. If one party does not speak Italian, you can add a German or English reading version, shown side by side with the Italian text. Clauses that require specific approval (Articles 1341 and 1342 of the Italian Civil Code) are signed with a second signature.
German law: The binding text is in German, optionally with an English reading version alongside.
Austrian law: The binding text is in German.
Consumer sales: If a dealer sells to a consumer, or a consumer sells to a dealer, the law of the consumer's home country applies. The configurator sets this automatically.
Between private individuals or between businesses: You choose the governing law together.
Registration: Registration, tax and insurance always follow the rules of the country in which the vehicle is registered.
